Self Portrait of Inner Turmoil
Pilane Sculpture, Pilane Heritage Museum, 2014

This is a serie of sculptures of geometrical trees where I work with the tree as a sculptural representation of the interplay between nature and abstraction, the concrete and the imagination. The sculptures illuminate the issue of depiction through the tree as a sculptural representation of the interplay between nature and abstraction, the concrete and the imagination. A view, but perhaps also a look inward, a meeting between form and design, a movement through geometry, mathematics, biology and natural science. A work that is open and where nature’s own forms and expressions are combined with references from wiring diagrams and subway maps etc. My inspiration is the tree’s shapes and plant patterns.
