From Art to Life to Art
Andrehn-Schiptjenko 2008

The interest in human scale inherent to minimalistic sculpture acquires a concrete form in From Art to Life to Art. The material (tin cans) has passed through a human being, or, to be more exact: the content of the cans has been consumed by the artist. We have a sculpture inside a person, the content eaten: the form remains. The tin cans are joined together into a coherent shape with a clean expression despite the variety of the tins.
