Black White & Inside Out
Curated by: Kevin Muhlen
20/5 – 1/6 2013

Amongst the huge collection of t-shirts owned by Jacob Dahlgren, curating an exhibition is as difficult of a task as having to choose from a large art collection. With the complete freedom left by Dahlgren, the first glance through the 1000+ striped shirts quickly becomes an hypnotizing process.
For Black White & Inside Out the choice fell on simple striped motifs in black and white. By changing the ratio of black and white with each shirt, a gradient from (almost) black to (al- most) white was created over a period
of 13 days. As Jacob Dahlgren wears striped t-shirts every day, this project imposed wearing the chosen shirts inside out, making the exhibition clearly identifiable and provoking the people’s curiosity.
